Took a buddy out to HMB to see if the salmon were in yet.  We didn't even really make it out of the harbor.  As we exited jaws, it became clear that the forecast was correct that it was 6ft swells at 8 second intervals, plus wind chop. The fan was steady blowing since about 7AM and never let up.  We turned back in, watched some other kayakers do the same, and fished the harbor for nada.

The only bright side (aside from just being otw) was pulling up a shaker halibut near the anchored tugboat on our way out to jaws.  May try again tomorrow

Good luck, I’ll be there w/ a buddy on Tuesday.  Gentle wind, but the swells will be 5-6”.  :smt003

We’ll see how long we last.....
We're gonna need a bigger boat!
