Halibut as crab bait?

I have some wormy halibut that I decided not to eat and was wondering if anyone ever used it for crab bait. Do crabs like 'butt meat?

Not as good as salmon or squid, but works fine.  Used my hali carcasses today as Tomales for 3 rock crab and 1 Dungeness. 

If you gut em when you kill it you will lower the chance of worms in the meat.

Also put the fillets in a bowl of ice water the worms will migrate out of your meat. But if there’s a lot of them there crab bait.
