Heading up to Russian Gulch this weekend for camping and fishing with several other families.
Plan to fish Fri, Sat, and Sun.
Look for our Orange Hobie Oasis or call me on Ch 69.

I'll be there too.  Hoping to find you, as I may be only one with a kayak in my crew and won't go in by myself.
Yeah, well...the Dude abides.

Anybody staying for Monday? Ocean is forecast to be pretty nice then.
I can't go on Sat or Sun.

Have to return home on Monday morning.
Hope we can get together next time.  Plan to head to Russian Gulch couple times per month.

Considering a Monday trip, too. Conditions look better forecast-wise and I have other commitments prior to that day.

Paul, this is somewhat tangential question, but how you like that hitch mounted gear platform?
seems like theres a big moment arm that could possibly compromise stability

I am very happy with the cargo carrier.
After extensive research, I purchased Pro Series Black Reese 63153 Cargo Carrier Metal 24"X60" from Amazon.com.
It gives me enough ground clearance and very stable.  It has 500 lbs load capacity but I will limit my load to 200 lbs.
Also, I installed a Hitch Tightener to minimize rattling and improve stability.

Forecast is uncertain for tomorrow (Friday), terrible for Saturday, uncertain for Sunday... Calms down after that, and Wednesday forecast looks really good on MSW anyway.
If it gets nice I can go Monday, otherwise I'm planning on Wednesday.
