Went kayak fishing out of Berkeley on Saturday hugging the pier and limited out, 22", 25" and 27". This was past the pier itself and further out to where the pilings are. This is only my 3rd time out this year and no skunks yet so I am very grateful! I haven't seen any other kayakers in the area so figure I give you guys a heads up.

Right on! I think the fish are starting to migrate to op and Berkeley. Thanks for confirming the good bite too.

Way to go! How's the launch at Berkeley pier?

Beautiful catch!

JP, adjacent to the pier the whole waterfront is large boulders Best launch is around the small peninsula to the south. At Cal Adventures East Dock and Windsurf Launch Dock. There is even a hose by the sailboat hoist to wash off after. You could also launch at the boat launch (near K dock?) In the actual Marina.

Be safe!- Shan

Like Mountain Wolf said, I launch on the south side near the Cal Adventures dock. There is a small craft dock that is very accessible and free. I launch around 6am-7am and I've always been the only person there. Just a note that even at a mean (not minus) low tide there's very little water depth at the dock. I measured 9" deep 2 weeks ago and I had to take my pedals out of the water and paddle out.

After checking my geotags, I realized that I caught the 2 bigger ones further out than I thought (see pic). Just past the last piling. Honestly unless you feel very comfortable out in the bay I wouldn't go that far out.
