Cowells Dawn Patrol 5/11

My buddy and I will be launching off cowells / main beach tomorrow around sunrise and giving it a go for a few hours in the area out in front of the wharf looking for halibut or whatever wants to eat a swimbait    I'll have my VHF monitoring channel 69 if anyone else is paddling out in the area

Ended up getting out for about two and a half hours this morning.  I had one solid hookup on the swimbait that was a no show and one short ling.  My buddy got a keeper flatty trolling a hoochie.  we fished the sandy (mostly) areas out in front of the wharf and to the west a bit outside the yellow ball.  There was a lot of bait around in front of the wharf so it should keep getting better.
