There are a couple of decent semi-easy (short but over a lot of rocks) surf launches at Mill Creek and Willow Creek pick nick areas, both South of Lime kiln and Sand dollar,  respectively.  Otherwise google earth is your friend, 3d layer!
If you’re going with a friend I’m sure you can find something closer if you’re prepared to do sketchy goat trail entrance/exit.

Good luck and prepare yourself for a drive!

I launch at Pacific Valley or at Willow creek. There are also some other good spots if the swell is small before you get into pacific valley.
Get out there and Fish!

It's a lot more south, but if you're closer to San Simeon I went out of Leffingwell Really easy launch, there's a boat ramp down to the beach, and there's tons of parking after you drop off the kayak.

I've Shore fished Pacific Valley and gotten some really decent fish for me.  Most recently Yesterday actually I caught a 15.5" Grassy Rockfish.
