Russian Gulch (Mendocino) this Friday (5/3) and Saturday (5/4)

Heading to Russian Gulch this weekend for fishing and camping.
Will be fishing with my wife.  Please let me know if anyone is interested to join.

Look for orange Hobie Oasis.  Ch. 69.
Plan to arrive around 11 AM on Friday and 7 AM on Saturday.

Also, will be searching for some crabs too.  If anyone wants to share their spots, please let me know.

A buddy and I are going out at Van Damme Friday morning, aiming to fish the flood tide.

The chart shows a patch of sand almost due west of the point south of RG, in 17 fathoms of water, and a broad shelf between 15-20 fathoms. Head SW out of the Gulch and watch the depth finder, should be crabs out there - I don't think it gets hit as hard as other areas.

Thank you for your tip.  Hope we will get together next time.  Our next trip will be during the Memorial Weekend.
Hope I will catch some crabs for dinner.  Also, I might try to troll for some halibuts too in this area.  I noticed the sand patch behind kelp bed as you go almost straight out of RG.

I plan to head to Russian Gulch a couple of times per month during the summer months for weekend trips.
Hope I get a keeper halibut this season.
