RPT Freshwater 4/28

So I know everyone is all fired up for catching halibut in the bay and salmon in the ocean, but don’t forget that right now is arguably the best time of year for freshwater fishing!

The weather is nice, the plants are blooming, the birds are chirping and the fish are biting.

I got out for a morning of fishing. Landed a lot, lost a few, and had a heartbreaker of a largemouth on but he threw the hook after his third jump. Biggest one I’ve ever seen in person.

All fish caught and released.

Nice job! +1 on freshwater bite. We just got back from a Berry trip and the bite was awesome.

+2 on Freshy stuff. OROVILLE. You have to be blind and one handed not to catch 30-50 spots a day at Oro right now.
