The day we've been waiting for is just right around the corner, who wants to join? Launch around 6 am.  I've double, triple and quadruple checked my gear, funny thing is I'm sure I'll check it again :smt002. Good luck and tight lines to everyone, be safe out there

Weather looks good as of now...5 to 10kts. with 3ft at 7 seconds. I will be halibut fishing the day before, if I am up for it I would rather try Cape Mendocino if the weather holds. I have not fished either yet, Ron

Cape forecast has been degrading daily.  The winds will be strong, but you never know.  I have been there when it's supposed to be 5kts or less and it was blowing.

I'm going for a Pacific halibut if the wind is down in Trinidad and if I'm done with work.  This year fishing is not on the top of my list, but the work I'm putting in should lead to better and bigger fishing adventures cause I'm ready to check off some bucket list fish and do some traveling.

Just checked the weather...yep, it is getting worse. Wednesday still looks good. Friday and Saturday also look good, as of now. Halibut in the bay with my aluminum boat tomorrow,... if the weather holds, the Cape on Wednesday with my kayak...maybe a day off then??? I am retired, so I can pick the weather.
Where are you planning to fish in the future? Baja? Alaska? Panama?

Nope! This is my first time on the bay for halibut....not sure where to go, so I may be able to cover more ground! Kayak at Cape Mendocino the next day, or Trinidad with the kayak.
