Dawn for sure, plus a soft scrub brush for the textured areas and a bottle brush to clean the scuppers.  It only takes a few drops of Dawn in a five gallon bucket.

I've been using a pressure washer and now you guys have me nervous.  Doesn't seem to be hurting the boat as far as I can tell.

Dang, I feel guilty...I haven’t soaped or 303’d my Kraken for 4years or so and it’s been cartopped the whole time.  Plenty scratches and scuffs.  Dawn sounds good because it might get me up early to catch that grey light, bubbles here we come!   :smt006

Magic eraser is awesome! I use simple green and a scrub brush, then the manic eraser for the stubborn stains.

But really now that I have a CAMO kayak I worry less about keeping it clean

Just water and a wet rag as I don't want to wash off good mojo. Only time any of my yaks see the soap is to wash off a day off skunk.
With that said haven't washed any of them in years , your probable thinking I'm full of Shit on catching something on every trip ?

I spent a lot of $ on my hobie and even more getting it rigged up. It might just be a military thing but want to look as clean and new as possible and hope it will last a little longer than if I trash it. It's also helps with resale value if I ever have to sell.... I hope I dont ever have to but never know what lifestyle throws your way. I wash it off every time I get back from the salt with dawn dish soap and a soft scrub brush. I do rince it off with clean fresh water after fishing in the river, lakes or ponds but if theres a dirty water line or covered in bait and fish crap, I'll bust out the soap. Unless you store it outside and uncovered I dont think spending the extra $ on the UV protection is worth it in the long run.

Why nervous? I pressure wash my Hobie once in a while, and it's never been a problem.

well you made me feel better about it.  I was starting to think I was the only one.  The pressure washer takes all the crap off with minimal effort on my part which is appreciated after a long day of reeling in huge fish like I do every time I go out.  Glad to hear I shouldn't expect any longer ng term damage from doing so.
