Ft ross/ocean cove this weekend?

Noaa is calling for 3-5 with 5 to 15 knot winds Saturday. Anybody thinking about it, or is everyone chasing butts in the bay?

I'm chasing butts in the bay.    I should be start heading up there in May.

Saw the tide forecast and weather, and decided to hit the bay instead for halibut. Tides look great!

I got back from oyster point. Yesterday it was barren. I managed a 24" from 6 -3pm.  The Alameda side was on fire.

Dang it.....I think I'm gonna hit up the bay this weekend too. Got my first keeper last weekend and (even though the ocean looks SPECTACULAR saturday) I've gotta go back for more lol

Just an fyi.....I'm gonna hit up the bay again this weekend for butts, so I won't be there. But damn it I'm so torn....with the commercial crab closure, I bet there'll be easy limits.

Ah man, I'm gonna work on a hall pass tomorrow.  If I get cleared I'm going to TC or OC for ling's and cabs.  Not very often we get swells and wind like that forecasted for the coast!  Plus, halibuts are dry and flavorless!  Hahaha, JK. Good luck getting out and landing some big butts!

I will be launching from Ocean Cove Saturday morning. I am staying there with a group but I plan on bringing my Yak and going out Sat AM before any wind gets going. I am in a Green/black Jackson Cuda. I will be down at the cove sometime around 6-7AM. Might have a first time with me too. Would love some company!
