Hi all,

Is there a section of the forum designed for individual parts of the state? Ie a Central Cali section, Delta, Sacramento, north coast, etc.? It would be nice to have a spot where all the people from a certain area can talk local lakes and hot spots...

Nope. Many fishing forums are organized that way. I’m guessing that because this is a NorCal site it is organized as one geographic area, Northern California. Any topics on a specific lake or spot will usually include the name of the lake or spot. It is easy to search the name and find what you are interested in. It might be worth while to read the topic on name abbreviations first so you know for example, HMB means Hall Moon Bay. Searching HMB will get more hits. Then you can look or post in hookups for people that might be fishing your area. Search reports for info on how people did or where they fished. Search general fishing tips plus a location name might get info. Look in places to launch and camp, but I believe some of that info is out of date.

Here are the abbreviations.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan
