Buddy system

First tournament of the year and less than an hour in, one of the guys in my group gets swamped by a bass boat tournament launching out of the same ramp. Fortunately the only thing lost was a couple of rods, and a little time.

Dang it sucks losing gear but glad he was okay.

definitely sucks and glad he is okay.  The boat driver owes him a couple of rods and more.

I would say that a-hole boat drivers  are probably the biggest problem on lakes for us. 

Not sure about Cali laws (lucky for me) but in Oregon there is a 109 ya no wake zone around any human powered craft, on swamps us they can be sited. Glad he wasn’t hurt, I have had pb’s headed right at us on Tillamook bay at speed then they notice the Coast Guard cutter is OTW and quickly drop speed and change course.
