Got an invite from Allen B. (Halibut Slayer of Santa Cruz) to hit the salmon at Moss. I'm taking the day-off and will launch before dawn (if conditions permit) Allen will launch around 8AM (he's got fatherly duties to perform before heading out)

I will be sacrificing a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken (over rice)  :smt117 to the weather gods in hopes of favorable kayaking conditions.

Company welcome!

Not to rain on the parade but the coastside reports don't look so hot on the conditions side, large swells and lots of fog...  :smt012

Anyone near Oakland want to carpool?  I'm looking to leave my not so reliable truck at home.

Yee haw.  I'm in.  I've been waiting for this day as much as July 1.  I am new to Salmon fishing but not to kayak fishing.

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG AND WORK WON"T LET ME OFF!

Brian - here's my advise....before you leave work today, go to safeway and buy a can of clam chowder soup.....go back to your desk...open the can and pour some soup in your mouth......hold it for a few seconds and then barf it out all over your computer's key board.....call your boss and tell him you just had some bad sushi for lunch and need to go home and rest...and that you may need an extra day off to get back into the swing of things  :smt003

Problem solved - see you tomorrow  :smt023

Here is an up to date weather report for you guys.

Just got off the phone with Fred (2:10 pm).

Said the AM was VERY doable via kayak but foggy on his drive down (9:30ish).

On his way back to SJ, at 2PM, the Marine layer is still fairly thick but the wind is blowing and its whitecaps right now.

Good Luck Moss Guys,
Stuart
