Yeah I haven't tried yet, makes me nervous reefing on stuff. I noticed they sell the upgraded ones for 255 online, I will have to call Hobie about them.
Smoked carp tastes just as good as smoked salmon when you ain't got no smoked salmon.

Good news! Took the drive into Headwaters in Redding as I had to go down there anyway, and they fixed it for free. Upgraded the fins and masts with the new version, taking care of the bent mast. Pretty sweet. Free repair work, and I still managed to drop 190 bucks in there lol.

I've bent mine good a few times when I first got my kayak when landing on the beach with them straight down.
I just used brute force to bend it back.  If I'm strong enough to snap a stainless steel rod, then I need to rethink the whole Hobie thing out on the ocean.  They didn't break and they did straighten out fine.  And I don't forget to lift the drive when coming in any more!!

Headwaters for the win!!

For next time, because there will be a next time....

Like others have said, take it apart and bend it straight.  to protect the threads find a nut to cover them while you clamp it....
I've done it many times  :smt006 :smt006   if all else fails, a new mast is like $25
