Good afternoon fellow anglers,

My name is Patrick, and I am addicted to fishing. 

This addiction and passion began while growing up on the Pt Reyes peninsula and being surrounded by some of the best fishing i could dream of.  I have always loved being out on the water, and cant wait until the next time.   With the season opening up in just a few weeks, I look forward to meeting some of you out on the water.

Welcome, Patrick. Not many people have grown up on the Point Reyes peninsula. Got any favorite fishing stories from those waters?

Before the Estero was protected, we used to fish for leopards off Bull Point, go clamming along the muddy shores, and I’ve seen the taxman near the mouth in Drakes Bay.  10mile beach is a blast during the striper run and you never know what ends up in the lagoon when the sandbar blows out. But there is one story that I’ll never forget.   I was sailing a Toro sailboat on the lagoon one afternoon, and out of nowhere, something rather large  came to the surface and was swimming straight towards me.  It went directly below the boat and descended out of sight.  There were three others OTW that day, nobody knows what it could’ve been. It was spooky.
