Hola NCKA,  :smt028

After 3 days @ a All Inclusive Disneyland nightmare in San Jose Del Cabo, I've made it to the " Ranch "...

Really Kool with My Hero "Spike" @ the ready,

Got out on Day one and Scored a nice Dorado, I thought that was small change, but as it appears, that

was the only fish caught, including the 10 crusiers!!!!!

Has these "Fat Cats" down here scratching their heads about kayakfishing :smt005,

We had Elk 06' conditions by 9am, and I must say, the 5 fly fishermen we had with us from the East

Coast, braved some huge swells and wind,

Would have chased your average La Jollian in long time before that :smt003

Stayed out till 12, with everybody making a perfect landing, really amazing considering it was there first

time :surf

Looks blown out today, it's 4am, and blowing like a mother,

No Worries, good Day to buy a Hamocka :smt015,

Hello FrankSwimming :smt006, doing fine :smt002,

That place is Da Bomb!

How are the Hobies? Are they in good shape? With all the noobs, I would think that all the fins and rudders would be wasted.

How's the management? I heard that the lovely couple that ran the place are no longer there - pity.

Keep the reports coming...

No worries, the weather down there can and will change from one day to the next. Here is a shot of my wife and kids sitting just down the beach from Hotel Punta Colorada last July

This is the same spot the next day.

The next day I caught my sixty pound Dorado a 1/4 mile off the beach

Don--Why was the all inclusive a nightmare?

I don't like People :smt011,  Humans are Ok :smt002, But those places are full of  :chug :smt030 :chug,  Uggg

Got blown out yesterday, still got out and hooked needle fish and triggers, this still puts me in the lead compared to the cruisers,  Nada for them,  no bait is available.

I've got the secret stash of squid :smt003  Thanks Spike!!!!!

Spike and the Ranch are really stepping up on making my 5 star resort Family happy and making my life easier.

They did lose my fish, so I don't know what Dorado taste like yet, and they did make up for it with a really nice fish and Shrimp dinner last night.

The Hobie is holding up though it does need a little tightening, with a few allen wrenches it would be as good as new, Surprising cause it's taking a beating down here.

Spike will have 2 soon, replacement haul on it's way for one.

Really kool to have picks from nice prowlers, Ocean Kayaks, scupper pro and Hobie quest, Tamden hobie, Cobra

I took one of my boys ( Noah ) out on the tamdem Ocean Kayak,

Totally Kool, I really liked it, might have to pick up one of those....

I exspected to do a little reef fishing, But a school of HammerHeads had other ideas!!!!! :shark

Noah Hooked up and I've never seen a Kayak Change directions so Quick!!! I was not exspecting this so 25lb

flourocarbon did not hold up to their teeth,

I hooked swevils together and we manage one to the boat, still got off, but man, 3 incredible battles!!!

Noah was a Champ, really did well, even took a few shots and still kept fighting back himself :smt021

Brought a nice pargo back for din din and the wind has layed down...

Hope to get out in a couple hours after some snorkeling time with the boys....Dorado Time!!!

Hey Jim, Sorry about the "La Jollain" Coment,  Just having fun :smt002

Post soon....Hasta........Danglin :smt028

The Bad... Worst Fishing they have seen down here in a long time..

The Good... I've had plenty of action on the Yaks and was able to put both boys on lots of fish,

No Pelagic Gamers, but lots of hard pulls by things we never saw, Hammerheads, huge Triggers, Broke off a couple of Jacks or Pompano, not sure, lots of inshore action with the cruisers doing nothing but burning gas..

There is a cold water current running through here right now and should change soon if your on your way down this way soon, Loreto is Hot right now..

Yesterday afternoon the wind totally laid down, and I took out Noah again

( Kuba Got stung pretty good by a Jelly..Ouch!)  Great Time and had lots of great East Cape Sleigh rides

@ one point, I had a Trigger strung up along the yak, kind of tempting fate a little bit and Spike said not to put the fish in the water......

I heard some thrashing behind me and it was about a 7 to 8' HammerHead Taking runs @ the Back of the Yak, chickening out @ the last Second to get the Trigger, but getting braver with each run, man their quick!!!!

Pretty wild seing a Good size Shark Charging your yak!!! :smt106

pulled the trigger and threw the Squid, another sleigh ride :smt005

Got out early this am for nothing but sight seeing, Manta the size of a Buick popped up right under me :smt104

Nobody doing nothing, huge schools of Pompano, a huge Wahoo Follow and just amazed @ the amount
of different species down there with lock jaw...

Came back took Kuba out for a flurry of Trigger fish hook ups till the van came and took us back to Cabo for some 5 star luxuries before we head home,

Will post more about the Ranch later, awesome time, " I'll Be Back " :glasses2:

Thanks Spike, Gary and the Ranch,

That last pic is a Ocean Kayak that was in the wrong place @ the wrong time during the last hurricane,

can't wait to get back soon...................Danglin :smt028

Gotta love a fishing destination that offers up that variety......but the pelagics would be cool too.  We will certainly head back.
