I’m in the market for two steelhead rods. One spinning rod to pair with my Shimano Symetre for float fishing. One casting rod to pair with a Shimano Curado for drift fishing.

Don’t have a whole lot of $$$ to drop, so I’m considering the used route...

Interested in the 8’0” to 9’0” range. No shorter.

Whatchu got?

I have a vintage Made in USA Fenwick E85C M-2,  8'6" moderate action,  4 7/8  oz. 6-17lb. $50.

Great plug rod so so drifter. It went on a lot of trips but it was my back up rod so rarely used.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I have a Daiwa 9'0 or 9'6" casting rod for steelhead.  Looking to get $30 for it.  Definitely used but have caught plenty of fish on it.  It's been in storage for about two years now since that's how old my kid is now and the last time I went.

Can you give me the model # and approximate age?

Sounds like a sweet rod, but i think I’ll be doing more drifting and float fishing than plugging so maybe not my best choice.

Alex, I have a Fenwick Hmx 8'6 8-12lb casting that I got in a trade with SuperVato. I never use it. It's yours if you are ever in the area.
It is a good drift fishing rod. I use the same rod years back on the Kenai river for Slivers. You will like it.
