Howdy everyone! I'm a newbie ocean kayak fisherman and just recently moved to Fort Bragg. I'm trying to meet some other local kayak fisherman to tag along with and get some ocean fishing tips and tricks. I've yet to venture out on the open water but am really looking forward to trying it!

Welcome.  Wait a few months (rock fish season opening) and you'll have plenty of offers for some on the water tips and coaching.

Agreed. There are quite a few (several local types) that fish the Mendo Zone and would be up for company, myself included.

Hi. I pretty much grew up over there and up until recently had a house in Cleone. I know lots of good places to fish off the bank/rocks and have had some kayak fishing experience up there. I mostly spear fished and abalone dived. I'll be doing lots of trips back up there with my kayak once rock fish open up and will deffently fish with you and anyone else that want to join in. I like fishing with groups... makes it more fun. Also really looking forward to salmon season. They are a lot of big ones up there! PM me and we will go!
