I have a kitchenaid with the sausage attachment. 
You can find kitchenaides on craigslist for about $100-150 and the attachment is about $30.

We have one of the high end ones as well without the attachments, but doesn't move at the speed im looking for. I did these with a friends electric one, worked great and pumped out a lot in no time.

Nah more for fun and learning curves. I had some candy cap sausage the other day and want to try and make them. They were amazing!
