Old Pflueger fishing reel

Got this at a garage sale some years back lots of brass and a wooden handle with a leather drag flap. I asked a few people at the outdoor Pro Shop what year they thought it was made in and was told by one of them probably in the early forties does anybody here know a little more about it? How about some pictures of your old reels.

The folks over there will probably know down to the month it was made, and who tooled the screws used in its manufacture!
