that is a 40"   :smt007 I was there

Wow!  Thats a nice fish.
Now someone's gotta get that 40"!

Paging EDDIE!!!!!!

Apparently, a 43" and 45" was caught last week.
The ante just keeps going up!
We are what we pretend to be, so we must be careful about what we pretend to be.

I want to stay as close to the edge as I can without going over. Out on the edge you see all kinds of things you can't see from the center.

I know your kidding about being scared. :smt044 :smt044 :smt044 .but I do get scared when they snap, lol...Ive  had a few big snapping jaws in my lap/hands/fingers in the last year..all bone and weird big eyes and teeth ,and some do stick out with crushing like snaps as they die..no bites yet..the little ones bite more in my exp...the big ones get the war treatment lol..here is some pics of jaws we took from 4 different fish 40 "-47 + "  ..were in this tourny signing up soon if can make the dates work ...no pics..no proof.......

I'm scared of Hali's that big, don't their jaws extend out like an angel shark snapping at crotches and fingers, and do they demand that to keep them you have to be slapped by them in the face on full flapping upswing and I'm not sure my hand would be able to fit around the tail for a photo op let alone lift it, what if I get wet?  Doesn't the meat taste hecka dry and goat like?   I don't know, I may have to get one and find out... :smt007
I would fish that tourney if I could make time but not likely.  Thanks for the pics and the snapping truth and the war comment.  What a beast!...the fish is quite the beast also... :smt005 :smt006

The only haters are in your own mind. I don't see anyone hating on anything. Just saying....seriously.

UPDATE 5.7.2019
Here is an update on the Tournament.

REMINDER!
Last week to Register!!! for the Event and get the shirt and bags. I need to put my orders in with the vendor by the 15th. I will keep registration open until we reach 80 but after the 15th the shirts and bags will not be available for late registrants.

Lunch:
Moomoo Outdoors has ordered "All you can eat" Tacos for the event. Eat til you drop out and pass out. Of course NCKA pot lucks items are always welcome. We share cause we care.

Finally extra funds raised for the event will go either to a Non-profit agency(one we know) or to one of our own in need. I'm still locking down the details but both are good causes and i believe they will both benefit.

Event Prizes:
1st Prize -> Accurate Reel (or something in that range) -> still locking down the details. It's a two man show. (thanks for the patience)
2nd prize -> Seeker Rod
3rd Prize ->  Khanh's Custom Gaff.

Gonna be fun. --> TLA

Oh yeah it's gonna be good!

Just catching up on this tread, nice seeing all the monster butt pics. I think the 23"ers taste  better than the big fatties and have less toxins and such but sure is more bad azz and easier to get alot of meat off the big ones.
**** a bunch of that.

Signed up for ARW 2019 today, can't wait!  At least two butts in the kayak (it's a tandem) - hopefully many more of the other variety :)

See you all there!
