Good afternoon-My Name is Cody and my user tag is BrineAngler,
I am new to this forum but have used bigwatersedge for years. I have been fishing off of my Hobie outback since 2014 and fished on cattle boats/off the shoreline prior to getting the kayak. Im 23 and am transferring to Humboldt State University for a degree in Marine Fisheries Sciences. My mom taught me to fish when I was young and have been fishing/diving on my own for the majority of my life. Im looking forward to moving north and am excited to enjoy all that nature has to provide, but welcome any tips or anything you've learned that could help me better explore/understand the area.
Sincerely,
Cody-BrineAngler

Welcome to Humboldt.

We don't have any of those fish or bugs in your pics around here.  Your kayak is gonna get some strange blood on it.

Welcome!  Head to the marina in Eureka, find Capitan Tim on the Reel Steel, he's honest friendly and will give you the scoop.  You wont have to go out on his 6 pack to hear what's hitting what and where.  Being another HSU Alum I have more contacts and info to share but got to go right now one of my classrooms salmon tank got hot got to go fix it.
