Well there was that one time when Joel gave everybody some of that bunk acid that he got from the naked hippie on Haight Street.  :hippy2: :smt083 :flower: :shaking2:

But other than that...

Man,  I had to re read your post because at first I thought it said New York fan  :smt011 and could not believe anyone would advertise that amongst all of the A's and Giants fans on this site.  Personally I fall on the Green and Gold side but am willing to fish with anyone.  Welcome we are not so mad but clearly crazy about this sport.

GO A's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the site, icruznyaks!
Looking forward to your reports.

We need a New Members Intro page or something...where do you live/fish? What type of kayak do you paddle? What type of fishing have you done? Etc, etc.

Good luck,
PK

Great idea, PK!

...and welcome, icruznyaks. You couldn't choose a better bunch of people to fish with than NCKAers!

BTW: I, too, prefer green and gold.

thanks to all for the welcoming, i am looking forward to meeting and fishing with you guys as well as learnign about fishing from a Kayak.  In response to Sin Coast I have mostly done flyfishing exclusively for the last 12 years, though i will wet any type of line as long as there is water.  I have fished the beaches for surf perch. my biggest fish on a fly has been a 40 LB. Dorado in Baja!! but have been looking forward to kayaks after I took an allen bushnell class.  I have ocean kayak-the big game and am going to be out in the MBK area this friday or saturday morning, hope to see a few of you there.

Hey welcome to NCKA. Like Frank I am a flyfisherman who hasn't quite figured it out from a yak. The line stripping thing I find difficult in a yak. I think Rickey (paddles and flies) does guide trips and might be worth hooking up with to get some tips. Surfingmarmot is another fly guy. Was planning to hit the forebay in the fall for a striper flyfishing trip. Will post it in hookups. BTW the last time I used the "A" word (addicted) on this website, one of the members gave me a hard time because it implied that the desire to yak fish was greater than sound judgement and safety. For that reason, to be more PC, I will just say "it is a hobby which I deeply enjoy and balance with my family responsibilities  but try and get out at least 3 times  a month year round and post on the boards every day". Or you could call it an addiction.
