I have moved from Mount Shasta to the Sacramento area.  Would anyone here like to hit Folsom Lake sometime?  Also, I see on the map a couple of ponds near Elk Grove, that may or may not be accessible and may or may not have some bass.

Hi there,

Folsom lake has never been good to me personally.

Have you thought about going a little south towards the small tributaries?

Cosumnes River preserve, wimpy's.

Deep water channel is great as well.

Good fishing in these areas!
if I'm not fishing I'm probably thinking about fishing

I agree that Folsom is a difficult lake that I have tried multiple times and skunked always (heavy pressure and a lot of recreational boats in the warm months and I suck at fishing)

also give Rollins Lake a try (Colfax area) (Bass, trout etc)

Lot's of good advice on the forum.  Just type in the area you want to fish and there will be information on it.

Folsom can be challenging until you figure it out and then you’ll fall in love with it. There are some good spotties and smalls in there.

I will be fishing Collins Saturday for bass and crappie. You’re welcome to come up and fish.

Welcome to the area, I'm up in Lincoln.  Let's make sure to hookup at some point, I'd like to learn Folsom also.
Yeah, well...the Dude abides.
