Weather looks good on Thursday for a Dino hunt. Plan to get to China camp around 9:30-10 and get off the water before it turns into a mud walk. Let me know if you can make it!

Good luck!  Last time I went back at 2ft tide level and there was no mud walk at all.

I’ll be there. Where exactly were you going to launch? Actual china camp beach or bullhead flat or mcnears or somewhere else?

What do you have for bait? I need to call loch lemond and see when they open and if they have live. I have frozen but can’t pump live by then.

Radio channel?

my buddy has had great success with uncured salmon roe wrapped in mesh.  Fish heads in Petaluma should have ghost and they open early, Loch lomand opens around 8:30,. If Keith has mud shrimp that is hands down Sturgeon candy...02

Hey I already called Keith and he's out of live and dead ghost but has live grass shrimp and said people were getting them on herring yesterday. Love ghost or mud is definitely the ticket!

I'm going to launch from China camp beach. I would get there earlier but I have a dentist appointment at 9! See you out there! Channel 69

Thanks for the info but I’m coming from the north bay, going to try calling fishheads and see if they have any live in stock. Otherwise I’ll make do. I have roe in the freezer but that’s destined for steelhead.

For reference this is the area I did well in the other week. Pretty much straight out from the old china camp pier to the further away deeper break around 15 feet.

Come on now...that is the spot of several spots...

Update:
Got there right at 10 with some live grass shrimp. Looked a little lumpy but not whitecapping when I launched. As soon as I dropped anchor the wind picked up and there was a mixed chop with whitecaps. I called it after an hour. Threemoneyj was a no show and I only saw two other boats out there. I'll be going a bunch in the next few weeks!

Bummed I didn’t get out there. I had to cover somebody at work. At least you gave it a shot! Those conditions sound like what it was last time I was there! Very exciting
