I came across a review for this waterproof kayak battery. It lasted the guy 16-17 hours over three trips, using a 7 inch color FF on full brightness. It’s a lithium battery so it’s super light but not super cheap. It looks to be designed specially for kayaking. They also sell accessories like Hobie hatch battery holders and wiring harnesses to use in parallel or to cigarette lighter etc.

I have one of Chet’s custom built 15 ah boxes. I run a Dragonfly 4 and it lasts many hours. 😇👍

I use the Wilderness Systems lithium battery. I imagine there are pros and cons to the different battery choices, but lithium is the way to go. I’m happy to see more choices for dedicated kayak batteries. Did you check out this battery on the linked page?

Funny thing is, I too bought a Wilderness Systems Lithium battery but find it’s somewhat limited in its capacity.  I save it for lower draw applications than my Dragonfly 4.  I Also often have a 22lb sealed AGM lead acid battery wedged between basketballs in my front hatch.  Runs my Watersnake trolling motor for many hours.  A nice option to have. 😊

I have two nextgen 20ah lithium batteries running my watersnake trolling motor. They weigh about 7lbs each and last over 6 hours each for low speed trolling in my Tarpon 120.

"If drawing 1A, you can expect around 17 hours of use, but you may need a voltage regulator as some fishfinders need a minimum of 11V to run."
They did not specify the battery chemistry or configuration, but this statement tells me they are running in series of 3. Which means, at nominal voltage, the pack is running at 11.1v. And after around the half way point, the pack would be well below 11v. Therefore,  you'd need a boost converter to many FF. I prefer a pack that is configured with 4 batteries in series (16.8v fully charged). I can add a buck converter for a few dollars to bring the voltage down if the FF can't take 16.8v. For example, the DragonFly's input range is 10.8v-15.6v, so I gave my friends some buck converters to run their 4S packs with it.

This is not a bad deal for people that don't want to mess with making their own packs.
