Hi all!

I'm excited to get involved with the forum.  I found you via the Noob Spearo podcast.

I grew up in Alabama where we vacationed on the Gulf of Mexico and lived in Charleston, SC before moving to CA, so the water temp has definitely been a major adjustment!  Not exactly bath water temps anymore. We now live just south of Oakland, and my husband, Matt, and I are out in the water as often as possible (currently about 3 weekends a month).   We either head down to the Monterey/Carmel area or up to the Fort Ross or Mendo area.  We're both fairly new to freediving, and while he spearfishes, I'm much more in it for the sightseeing.

As our skills improve, we'll likely make the next step over to kayaking with diving, so looking forward to learning from all of you!

Best,
Ceci

Roll Tide, indeed!  I grew up about an hour from both of those places and went to high school in B'ham.  I hear it's undergoing quite the renaissance now! Hope to get to meet you at the water one day :)

Hey There Ceci!

My wife and I live in Pacific Grove (near Monterey) and dive here frequently. I also have a few friends (and their wives) that come down to kayak and dive - would be cool to connect you guys.

Let me know next time you two head my way!
