I was doing some testing, and there are a couple screws that leak on my new yak.  Should I just use marine goop?

Thanks.

I'm not one to share advice here so take this with a grain of salt...

One of the items I was installing had me drill a hole slightly larger than I should have so I used marine goop on the hole itself and the plastic part when I installed, and then I put goop around the plastic piece and on top of the screw.  Probably went overboard but I haven't noticed anything in the hull.  Drilled the 2nd hole on the item correctly lol

Marine goop is your friend.

I use this stuff, always have it near by when resetting through hull screws and fittings, bonds really well to plastic and fiberglass!

Heck even set my transducer in it.

Best way to seal screws?         .....isn't that the definition of a condom?
