This week/weekend is all about work and recovering for more work, so I dont think Ill be on the water, but I went down to Richmund Park to see the water and have lunch. The bloom has passed and the water has cleared up on the southend. Sight fishing is back on! and fish are everywhere.
Even the submarines have returned to shallower haunts and with 20'+ visibilty its some amazing eye candy. Bass, crappie, bluegill, and carp can be seen rightoff the docks of the park.
Talked with local guides this AM and the word is frogs. Especially smaller black frogs thrown way back into the tullies. They said to throw it back as far as I can, even out of site, into the mats and wait for the splash/slurp. Its not just in the morning and late evening anymore.
Another guide told me to throw anything/everything I had and I would catch fish right now.
Sorry I dont have any pictures of victims, but Im working alot these days so I can take July off.

It gets better!  Yesterday there was alot of people out on the docks at "the park" watching a mother duck with 11 ducklings.  Suddenly the men were cheering and the women were screaming and there were 10 ducklings in a panic.  You guessed it, a Largemouth blasted the surface and swallowed up number 11 in front of a crowd. I guess I should have picked up one of those duckling lures at the Fred Hall show.   good times.
