Hobie md180 version question

Hi,

I am looking at some Hobie Outbacks (new and used) that have the md180 drives.  From this forum, it seems that there are 3 versions of this drive already.  How can I determine which version drive it is by looking at it?

Version 2 will say v2 on it and version 3 will have a different peddle oval round bars (black).
