New to this site but have been kayak fishing for about 4 years now. Living in Fresno gives me great access to quite a few lakes and rivers, as well as the Central Coast for ocean fishing. Just upgraded to a Hobie Compass and it has been a real joy on the water. Tight lines and be safe.

Welcome,
How do you like your Compass?  Have you had it on open water?

So far I like it a lot. True test will be on 9/15 when I take it out on the ocean for rock fishing. Took it out to Mendota last Sunday and and did a round trip of 10 miles with no problems. Would never have attempted that if I were paddling.
