any fish caught there? maybe salmon? anywhere to launch? Surf looks heavy. I am supposed to be camping there this weekend at Wright's beach. If anyone has info, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!

I have seen salmon, halibut, rockfish, and lingcod all caught of Sonoma State Beach.  And yes, the surf can be very heavy there at times.   As for launching, the entire beach is about the same in terms of surf, but it sometimes is a bit more protected just south of Duncan's Landing, but access to the beach is almost impossible there.  Portuguese Beach and School House beach both have beach access ramps, but the surf is pretty heavy in anything greater than a 4ft NW swell.

Anyway, if you can make it down to the beach and out past the surf, there are fish to be found.
