Launching at Doran

I've only launched from Doran twice, and each time it was flat, right next to the south jetty. The swell was small each time as well. Is it always flat there, or does a bigger swell bring a big shore break?

NW swell in summer is calm there. Big winter southerly swell can be mush rougher.

It rarely gets big there at all. South swell it's worse. It's got to be pretty nasty for it to get ugly next to the jetty. Wind is usually the bigger issue there.
