I am  camping at  Ocean Cove Fri-Sun and may be launching a 16 ft Kingfisher aluminum boat. Is the launch sketchy? Fishy inside the cove? Looks like 5 ft  swell from the NW at 14 sec so is it likely the launch will be calm or do I risk getting my boat pounded?

Ocean cove should be protected against NW swells. Not much fish inside the cove, but there are lots of structures holding fish just outside.

I think that's a sketchy launch!  Went there with some buddies and at low tide the water was 70 feet from the end of the ramp and we had to traverse over slippery rocks carrying kayaks, no way you could launch or recover a boat at low tide.  Even at high tide you have to back down the curvey ramp and launch in shallow water.  Doable if you plan accordingly, launch and recover on high tides only!  Good luck!

Camped at Ocean Cove with friends and family 7/27-29. Less wind and less swell than reported. We launched by 7am. Ding a Ling limit of lings and a cabe, i limit on rockcods, and litonglito caught good size rockcods. Had a good fight with some big fish(probably ling or cabe) u till lne snapped couple of times. Still good. Back by 1-2pm. Had a blast.
