Friends? Is that what I’m going wrong.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 I just enjoy being on the water and chilling, and if I’m lucky I might even catch a fish. When I’m on water I know I can count on anyone of them I if I get into trouble. That’s a friend. Fish on.

I don't do tournaments myself, its a time thing for me. But the crab fest I have attended and I never felt like it was "rigged" you either caught the biggest or you didn't. All measuring was done in the open.  So this fantasy of it being rigged is a joke to me. If being "gay," is supporting HOW, Play it forward, and other events that aid support our friends and service member's in need, than I am gay too. F- those fracking ignorant bastarages. I am proud to be member of you guys! Just don't ask for my Shiner Bock!

There are plenty of kayak fisherman up this way that aren't associated with NCKA.
The best way to represent is to be yourself.

as a former tournament organizer that sentiment is usually voiced by people who are nut used to ALL RULES being enforced. sometimes it hurts those who think they can be lazy or slide on "this or that lame rule" then a DQ costs them a podium finish. Having been in the group a while I can think of at least half a dozen times this has happened and some of those folks still bitch about it years later.  bad press spreads

I couldn't find the thread, but there was some new guy that showed up on here last year.  When someone told him to go check out one of the events, he said something very similar, that he heard all the tourneys were fixed and what not.  Wonder if its the same guy.

Honestly, if they didn't experience it first hand, but just "heard from someone".  Those are simple minded fools that don't know how to think for themselves...buncha sheep.   NCKA is better off without them!

One of them said, Oh, they have all those tournaments. They always let their friends win.

Laugh in their faces and tell them that's ridiculous, and if they don't get a clue to come check it out for themselves then so be it.

This community is way more badass than most people understand.

Just use me as an example. I was new to the site, showed up to my first event (crabfest), did not know anyone putting it on and won a kayak at the raffle as well as some crab traps and other gear. I think I blow that theory right out of the water.

Well, if being fixed means you have to adhere to F&G regs and the event promoter's prior published format and rules, then, they certainly are.  :smt003

Its’ only fixed so that you have a goog time with good friends🤪. My first tournament was 2010 yakhoppers ARW halibut which I was lucky enough to win, haven’t won anything else since 😭😭. But have a lot of fishing buddies!!
