Picked my parents up at the airport today nice that Alaska Flights come into Santa Rosa. They said that Salmon was cheap but Halibut was $15 lb up there  :smt009  Took the wife out for her first paddle Erik's Tandem lives again, she enjoyed it except Sean cut the water out of Mendo and we had to drag them upstream. Saw a couple of hundred kayaks thanks to the new rental palace in Healdsburg. Caught a few nice smallies even with the late start, low water and traffic. I went up to a spot that consistently produces big fish tied on Mooch's secret lure and on my first cast I was watching the lure's action in the current when this big shadow comes flying out of the rocks it snatches it fight on, I know this is my biggest smallie yet he turns the yak and pulls it out into the current digging deep trying to get to the bottom I put as much pressure as I dare with 6lb after he tows me about 30' he just sorta gives up and comes to the boat 29"
Sucker :smt013 damn never had a sucker hit a crank before. My battery died so no pictures. had the dog with us also and he enjoyed sitting up front but it's tough to steer with 75lbs of dead weight up front.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Way to go, Mrs. Mickfish! I'm always glad to hear about women testing the waters! Thanks for the report, Mike.
