Ocean Kayak Prowler 13.

The Prowler 13 will always be one of my favorite kayaks.  It is stable (enough), paddles well, handles ocean snot conditions, shorter than the 15's so easier to manhandle and it's light.

I've caught a few of my most significant fish from a P13 and so it will always be one of my faves!

I can't remember who I sold my last P13 to, but it went with a lot of mojo!!

Ive had mine eight years now and never wanted anything else. I also have a prowler 15.

I have a prowler 13 and I would say that I’m not that strong of a paddler.  My friend and I went out on San Pablo reservoir and we were going into a 20 mph wind (I’m guessing) and I was surprised that I was going faster than him. He was in a native propel 12. This was the first time I was going out with someone in a peddle kayak. A rudder on my p13 would really help to track straight. I’m 160 lbs and 5’-8” and it is a bit wet ride but I it’s mostly due to the water from my paddle.

I'm a HOBIE person but I agree with Spiffy O'Neil.

The best all-around kayak is mine, but it's not for sale, so you'll have to settle for second best (at best)...

Just don't drink the pedal-drive Kool-Aid until you know what you want to do with your kayak.

We could probably create a formula that identifies the ‘best’ kayak for each person, by having them rank importance of features, types of usage, their height/weight...patent pending!

Probably something I could do, but like most things, it's not something I want to do. 

I don't get paid for selling kayaks - dealers do.  Find a good dealer and you'll find a kayak that fits you.
