Rollins (Greenhorn campground). 5/20/18

Going to chase those Silver Slabs and cats at Rollins tomorrow morning (6ish).  Plan on being off the water around 2,  but could stay longer if the professional boaters stay away!  Joking me if you can.  It’s always fun!

I had a blast out there! Got my Grandson on his first bass! Good luck out there. I'll be sleeping the afternoon away recovering from to much sun and fun. Taking a break for a little time with wife. Let's see, wend night!?!?? stay safe out there. There was minimal boat traffic this weekend. Watch for low flying bald eagles and thieving ospray!

Yesterday was more of the same.  I went silver slab hunting and let all the bass gear at the house.  It didn’t matter spots love Crappie jigs as much as Crappie.  And so do the Catfish.  I headed for the bushes away from all the professional boaters and hit the jackpot. Probably caught 12 to 15 bass.  6 nice Crappie which will take a nice hot oil bath tonight and two catfish who will be joining the Crappie for dinner. 
I still think we’re a week or two before the bite really turns on.  The next full moon should do the trick.
