I recall reading this forum several years ago. I put away the kayaks when we moved from the mountains to the Folsom area. While organizing the basement my 8yo got really excited about the kayaks and the idea of fishing from them. Since then we have been going out every weekend and he is so stoked about it. As you can imagine, that has me excited about kayaking and fishing too! We haven't caught a fish yet, so we have more to learn. Thanks for the great site!

I am sure you and your son will catch some fish if you keep it up. Try some close by lakes that have Sunfish, Crappie, and bass.
