On my 2014 AI, I've been using a PVC seat back that is strung with bungee cord. I find it way more comfy than the stock seat, but I had kind of a flakey method of attaching it to the kayak. I finally got around to doing something more substantial today, and here's some pics.

The first picture shows the bracket I used (actually, 2 of them). They are designed to hold a paddle, and come with 2 holes pre-drilled. The second picture shows 3 holes---I added a third hole in the middle (the reason should become clear momentarily...). The brackets were too long for the place I wanted to mount them, so I cut them down, as can be seen in the third and fourth pictures. The last 2 pictures show the brackets mounted to the kayak, and the PVC seat back in the brackets.

In case you are wondering, that's 3/4" PVC...

Nice work. Did you also raise the seat so that you butt won't be sitting in a puddle?

Haha! No, but (or butt?) that would be easy to do, especially on the AI. The reason I don't do that is because when I use it in Adventure/Revo 16 mode, I want my center of gravity to be as low as possible. Anyways, I'm usually wearing a drysuit, so the wet butt is not a big issue.
