New to Kayaking and Kayak Fishing from SF

Hello, my name is Carlos, I am new to this board and kayaking.   I bought a new kayak from California Canoe and Kayak in Oakland and the first thing they highly recommended was to join NCKA, glad I did.  This is my first time browsing thru this board and I can already tell their are a lot of great people here who share the same passion.

Thank you all for the nice welcome, I will definitely join a few hookups.  My first plan is to take a self rescue class and practice kayaking in calm water first.  I did get a dry suit, pdf, vhf radio, whistle, knife, flag and built my own milk crate  .  It is super cool to start a new hobby and nice to have a community of nice people.   

Welcome, Carlos!  I am pretty new, too.  Still looking at Kayaks but haven't yet pulled the trigger on getting one.

Thanks AmericanMan and Welcome to NCKA as well.  A few of my friends have caught striped bass from the beach lately, last week my friend caught 6 in a week near Monterrey using sand crabs and fish finder rigs.  Fishing is fun !!! Have a great week.
