Does anybody here have any idea of a float/bobber release setup that can be casted? I wanna use it for times not kayaking and let the float/bobber drift far, but keeping the float and not loosing it. Its such a waste if i use a balloon instead and it will just polute the water.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

use a Downrigger release attached to a float. Tied to a line that’s attached to ur boat. Fish takes bait pulls fishing line from release... pull float back to the boat.. fight fish . Same method as using a downrigger but ur using a float.

Not on a boat/yak. Planning to use it like pier or shore. Just dont like the idea of poluting waters with balloon. And i was thinking of using a foam float that can be released
