I'm heading up to Mendo Thursday afternoon/evening hit it till dark, spending the night and hitting it first light Friday morning. I'm planning on a south launch. Anyone planning on going one of those times? Company welcome. Ch 69. Juan, Sean, you guys going out? By the looks of Juans' reports, now's the time. Anyone know if it's been calm up there this week?

I'll be up there tomorrow (Thurs.) afternoon. Planning to launch from the south ramp at about 4:00PM. Gonna shoot north along the west shore then probably paddle over to Crappie Cove if the bite's not on and the wind's not too strong.

I'll have my ears on. Channel 69.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

Rockhopper, I'll give a call on the radio when I get up there. I'm planning on hitting the east side if the wind is kind. Otherwise, I'll be ducking on the west too. See ya up there.

Kayakjack, most guys are towing minnows, but I'm one of the stubburn artificals kinda guys. If your going atrificial have some pearl flukes with jigheads, Kastmasters, and some sort of shad imitating topwater bait. They say the live minnows "put em in the boat" but the atrificals work too. Pretty much like LMB fishing only your fishing open water and chasing boils. Oh, and there's a MUCH BIGGER yank on the other end... :smt002 see ya up there.
