Hmm.. a doctor told me you can practice pulling them out of a Cantaloupe.  Supposed to be close enough to human flesh.

Thats nuts! Been fishing for over 30 years..and never have I...

I caught myself a couple weeks ago 

Pliers, downward pressure, pull out with a rotating motion, Pop right out... Face hooked, not so much!!! Dudes just nuts putting hooks in to show how to pull them out... (get a buddy and hook him!)

I hooked my bicep with a Whopper Plopper (they have heavy gauge treble hooks) not too long ago.  Glad I watched a YT video before hand on how to remove hooks.  Basically, pushed on the shank hard in the right direction and it popped out without any pain.

I don't mind getting those out of me, but it's not right to jam those in.  I expected some kind of SNL skit where he couldn't pull them out or hit a vein.

I had to get a hook out of my friends back, we were amazed at how fkg tough skin is.... closer to a piece of leather than a cantaloupe hide.
