Okay. This would be the first ocean outing for me in a long time. Just bought a Marauder from Sean and have finished outfitting it with the standard accessories. I'm down for Limekiln or Stillwater on Sat if anyone's interested. So far the conditions look great if they hold since its too early in the week.

.THU THROUGH SAT...W WINDS 5 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 2 FT.
NW SWELL 2 TO 6 FT. PATCHY FOG.

Looks like I was looking at a bit north in the weather reports.
Hoping the winds die down a bit. Here's the real report.

 .SAT...NW WINDS 15 TO 25 KT. WIND WAVES 3 TO 6 FT.
NW SWELL 6 TO 8 FT. PATCHY FOG.

I am definitely fishing somewhere between Monterey and Big Sur on Saturday. The swells will determine "where." However, I predict pond-like conditions this wknd...so we may have our choice of launches.
My buddy wants to camp at Kirk Creek on Friday and fish Mill Creek Saturday AM so that may be the plan. I, on the other hand, would really like to launch from Andrew Molera because it will soon be closed to fishing.
It's gonna be a long week of checking the swell conditions at work for me!

I like the idea of Andrew Molara but need to get rid of some fish to make room for more if I go.

Andrew Molera's a great idea. I'd love to go there though where do you put the kayak cart after you get there? Do you take em with you on the yak?

I would probably just stash it near some random landmark and plan for it to be there when I return.

I may join you for Andrew Molera if the condition is calm. I am paranoid of the wind. The place is less protected=exposed. Regarding the cart, just stash it in bushes. I hope we could just paddle our kayaks down on the river. The river is as clear as mirror = very nice. Hope it is calm, so walking yaks could be saved.

Yeah, I've had dreams about camping at Molera. Then, when we go to launch, we just put out kayaks in the river and float down to the ocean! Not sure if there's enough water right now...we'd have to get out and drag the kayaks through the shallow stuff. But still better than carrying it the whole trail to the ocean!

EDIT: According to this forecast, we will have a perfect window on Sat AM.

Watch the animated loop and check out 108 hours. That is Sat at noon by my calculations.

Saturday seems nasty from forecast. Wind might not be small. If you go, good luck and be safe. I need to drive my boy for a soccer game at SFO. So I could not go.

Swells should be great for sat. Today the winds were also projected to be 20-30kts  however I've been monitoring it all day, they never went over 9kts. We'll have to see how Sat goes however.
Hopefully, I won't be the only one fishing there.
Eyeatbay, sorry you can't make it. Have a good time in SF with the kids.

I can't do Big Sur either. Planning to launch from Monastery Beach instead.

I'll be there, lauching out of LK, most likely, EARLY sat and sun. Getting in, getting some fish (hopefully), and getting out before the wind......

Hi Guppy. I'm not so sure if I'm going to head to Andrew Molera either since I'm not familiar with the area as far as kayaking is concerned. I'll probably try Monterey or Monastery beach instead.
PM me if you're interested.
