Thanks all for the heads up.  I have the black hole Suzuki 10’ surf rod.  I’ve caught dozens of perch and a couple of schoolie striped bass on it.  It’s a badass rod.  Lightest rod in its class that I’ve used and feel confident I could land a big bass on it.

I’m not sure which other rod Im gonna add to my collection, just want to fondle em all. Ha ha.

Sorry, It looks like his offer has expired. Jamie had multiple posts on BDoutdoors (bloody decks) offering up to 20% off on Fred Hall pre-orders. Jamie is AWESOME, though. One of the best tackle shop salesmen ever and I bet if you called him at Bob Sands tackle and told him you were coming all the way down from Nor-Cal mainly to check out Black Hole and United Composites rods at the show, he'd definitely spend a ton of time helping you decide on a rod and would more than likely extend his discount offer to you.

Also, Black Hole had show pricing at their booth last year. If I remember correctly it was 5 or 10% off ONE ROD and 15% off if you bought two or more rods. Ask for Kil Song. He is another great guy that will spend all the time you need helping to decide which rod is right for you.

Thanx for the info. I am looking forward to meeting both Jamie and Kil song.  I chatted briefly with song on another site, making sure that he is bringing surf rods.
