Good try Duane.  That's a sharp gps mapping tool.

Does that dotted line labeled "sewer pipe" lead to "the swirl" where we usually make bait?

Good try!  A Coastsider reported a 47 incher (people are guessing around 40 lbs.) caught there so you were in the right spot.  Don't you just hate this damn wind?

That's fancy tech stuff.  Funny how the wind came up at SC at 9:45-10 this morning too.

windy is the word; on the water at 7 and driving home by 10:30.  i counted 25 boats fishing the area (not including the yaks); it was busy.  the wind made the chop pretty heavy and it was hard to fish far off shore.  i pulled in a shorty drifting some of duane's excellent bait and then picked up another on the troll but came off at the boat (didn't quite see it).

thanks for the bait; hope for less wind next time.

Yep... windy... and it wasn't for lack of bait that we were skunked.  Duane harvested some very delectable jacksmelt and I thought for sure we'd have some action.  We just couldn't fish in the likely more productive zone around the 20 foot line because it got really rough way out there.

I had one takedown on a large jacksmelt that I fed line to but the hook was loose about a second after I set it.  I had one chance and I farmed it.   Oh well...it isn't the first time.

We'll get them butts yet... I know it.
