Went up the coast with my buddy Warren this week and filled up the banksboard with goodies. Got a limit of good sized scallops, a couple lings, and a new PR black rockfish (7.18 pounds, over 22.5 inches long).

Thankful for what the ocean has provided in the last 7 days. This combined with 14 lobsters from opening weekend has made for quite the series of meals for my friends and family. Threw together a video with Tom Petty on the track, may he RIP.

Also tried my hand at otolith removal for the first time and definitely need some practice (shattered one of them haha). Any tips or videos you guys have made showing the process?

My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Great day out there for sure! And good to see schooling blacks too. Watching the vid, I was reminded that that structure should have kelp growing off it- let's hope the conditions change. Thanks for the great edit job on the video, especially adding in the Tom Petty tribute!
