I know someone selling a Scupper Classic, does anyone on the board fish out of one of these?  The guy said he fished offshore in SoCal many times.  It has a rudder and comes with a paddel. What do you think a fair price would be for this kayak.
P.S. It also has a rudder.

I've seen one on craiglist for $450 w/o a rudder to give you an idea on price.
PS, I believe Jonathon paddles one.

Dear fellow Yaker:

Try to find a Scupper Pro with a Tank-well. You'll want a Water Bottle Crate for your stuff. The Scupper Pro is a great boat but, It's a little tippy. The rear hatch is useless because, your more likely to roll your Yak while trying to reach back to pop the rear hatch.
I used Allen Bushnells SPTW and caught a 27 Lb. Halibut last Season.  Take one out and see if you like it and then try a Prowler 15 Angler Edition. Art G let me try his Prowler 15, and I had a great time.
The Cobra look like a great fishing Mach. I ran into Allen (PolePole) who had a Cobra Tandom which, look like a real nice setup with all the tackle up foward.  Maybe Sean could give you a Demo., he seems like he try a lot harder to please his Customers.
Maybe some day I'll be able to fish a Cobra.  Kayak shopping is like trying on shoes.

Saw this on craigslist - the front hatch seems to have a crack but I'm sure you can get hold of Ocean Kayak and buy a new one.

I found this boat to be tippy - I'm 5'11  / 210 lbs. I think it's a better fit for a smaller person - just my opinion.

The Scupper Classic is a classic, it just depends on whether or not it meets your needs.  It, along with the Cobra Tourer, are some of the best small person yaks out there.  If you are 6-2 210 like me, your butt won't even get in the seat!

How big are you and what so you want to do?

BTW-thanks for the kind words Ernie
